Lend Simple
introduction.
LendSimple is a conceptual platform designed to make borrowing and lending items locally simple, secure, and sustainable.
The idea came from noticing how often people buy things they use only once or twice tools, gadgets, sports gear that end up gathering dust. LendSimple bridges that gap by helping people share what they already own, saving money and reducing waste.
The goal was to design a platform that builds trust within communities, encourages sustainable living, and feels effortless to use.

Before diving into design, I conducted interviews, surveys, and secondary research to understand users' borrowing behavior and challenges.
Key Findings:
• People often buy items they only need temporarily due to lack of reliable borrowing platforms.
• Users prefer borrowing within local communities - trust and proximity were top priorities.
• Concerns included item quality, unverified lenders, and unclear return policies.
• 85% of users (mainly aged 18-24) showed interest in borrowing over buying - for cost, convenience, and sustainability.

The final designs reflected approachable minimalism: soft colors, intuitive icons, and visual consistency to make borrowing feel as natural as shopping.
